Allegri reacts after carrying Olympic Torch: “A great honour and a profound emotion”

Massimiliano Allegri had the honour of being a part of the Olympic Flame Relay ahead of the Games in Milan-Cortina, and he spoke of ‘profound emotion’.

The 2026 Winter Olympic Games taking place next month (February 2-16) have been a big discussion point around Milano and for the Rossoneri. The opening ceremony is taking place at San Siro, leading to there being a high chance of the Como game being played in Australia, but that idea has been scrapped.

The club then announced a more positive event to result from the Games: the head coach Allegri was selected as one of the torchbearers given his connection to the city. This morning, Max carried the torch through the streets of Borgomanero, a small city in the Province of Novara.
