Liverpool is aiming to win a second Premier League away game in a row this weekend as Leeds welcomes Arne Slot's men to Elland Road.
Leeds goes into the game off the back of a somewhat surprise result after beating Chelsea earlier this week, while Liverpool was held to a 1-1 draw by Sunderland at Anfield. The Reds nearly lost the game at the death, when Wilson Isidor rounded Alisson, only for Federico Chiesa to get back on the line and stop the Sunderland striker from slotting the ball into an empty net.
Despite Liverpool's poor recent form, former Rangers striker Ally McCoist is backing Liverpool to emerge with a narrow 2-1 win.
"Leeds are coming off a fantastic home result against Chelsea," McCoist said in his predictions for TNT Sports. "Their form at home has been very, very good.
"Have Liverpool turned a corner on the road with that victory over West Ham? Well, we shall find out... I think it'll be a tight one, but I'm taking Liverpool."
McCoist's colleague, Darren Fletcher, is backing the game to finish in a 2-2 draw. Fletcher said: "Leeds had a great win in the week. I didn't think they would beat Chelsea, but they did.
"They played really well, they had a little back of what they had in the early weeks of the season. This looks like a difficult fixture for Liverpool. On the back of the win against Chelsea, I'm going to take Leeds to take something."
Ahead of the game, Arne Slot highlighted the sort of threat that Leeds will pose his team.
"Yesterday I looked at Leeds v Chelsea and I thought I saw a Liverpool game; Chelsea conceding a set-piece and for the third goal making a big, big error where they conceded a goal from," Slot said.
"[It was] very difficult for them. Either Leeds went very aggressive to one-v-one or they went to a low block and it was really hard to create chances. It's not only difficult for us, that playing style, it's difficult for many teams – including us.
"So what we expect is what we've seen in the second half against [Manchester] City when they were 2-0 down, coming back to 2-2.
"Eventually [Phil] Foden made the difference with a moment of magic for City and against City they were really strong and played a very good game.
"They were really aggressive and had a lot of long balls as well from their goalkeeper.
"We know what to expect but what to expect is probably what we've faced [in] all of the games with maybe the exception of two."
