Andy Robertson could run into problems should he secure a transfer to two clubs reportedly interested in the Liverpool legend.
The Scotsman announced his intention to leave Anfield at the end of the season, putting an end to his nine-year illustrious career at the Premier League club. Robertson, 32, almost left the club last summer amid interest from Atletico Madrid but opted to remain at Merseyside.
Discussions surrounding his future were reignited in January after Tottenham was said to consider a move for the left-back amid its troublesome season before reported negotiations failed. Speculation around Robertson's post-Liverpool future has already begun, with Spurs once again in the frame as well as the 32-year-old's boyhood club, Celtic, where the defender spent six years of his youth career before being released.

Spurs slipped into 18th on Friday after West Ham's 4-0 win over Wolves, as Robertson would potentially be unlikely to drop down a division despite Spurs' heavy links.
While a move back to Celtic would mark an emotional return for the Scotsman, the left-back spot is currently firmly owned by his international teammate, Kieran Tierney.

Upon his return to Parkhead after a six-year spell with Arsenal, the 28-year-old has once again become an integral part of the Scottish champions, with Robertson not promised a starting spot.
The Reds hero has always cut a humble figure since his arrival from Hull in 2017, and continued the theme when opening up after the news of his departure was announced.
He said: "I’ll let other people say if I’m a Liverpool legend or not – I think you know me well enough that I will never accept that.
"But from minute one I came into this football club, I wanted to be successful. I wanted to try to bring trophies back to this football club, try to help put us back onto a place where I believe this football club belongs.
"I’m very proud that I’ve been a part of fantastic teams that have been able to do that.
"The club means everything to me. The people within the club mean the world to me. The fans have always taken to me.
"I always remember my debut against Crystal Palace when I was a relative nobody – obviously signing from Hull City, only £8 million.
"I played my debut and already the Kop had sung my name. It was a moment I couldn’t quite believe. Then the next three months I’m not seen again, which I remind Jurgen [Klopp] of quite a lot!"
