The Liverpool legends faced Everton for the final time on Sunday, before they both depart at the end of the season - and it was one to remember, with Virgil van Dijk netting a late winner

Andy Robertson played in his final Merseyside derby on Sunday
Andy Robertson said he will miss playing in the Merseyside derby and revealed he and Mohamed Salah were determined to bow out with one final victory over their local foes.
The Liverpool duo are set leave the club this summer and Sunday’s first derby at the Hill Dickinson Stadium coincided with their last for the club. But it was another stalwart, Virgil van Dijk, who secured all three points, when he rose highest in the box to score Liverpool’s winner.
Robertson came in to make his eighth league start of the season and put in another solid display. The Scotland captain played 86 minutes in the derby win and was afforded a rapturous reception from the away fans at full-time.

“Today was no different. When I got the nod yesterday, me and Mo spoke about it and we just said: ‘Look, let's just go out and enjoy it. It's our last one’.
“We've had so many great memories in the Merseyside derby, so many highs, a couple of lows, but not too many.

“But they're fantastic games to be involved in and I'm going to miss them that's for sure.”
Sunday’s game was Robertson’s 15th involvement in the derby, and few have ended as dramatically. The Reds rode their luck for long spells in the game, but finished stronger and grabbed the decisive moment in the 10th minute of added-time.
“I thought [in the] first half we were excellent and were really in control,” Robertson reflected.

“I thought actually when we conceded the goal we were the dominant and most in control.
“[It felt like] it was just a matter of time before we got the second [after we scored].
“I've been here long enough and I know how Merseyside derbies go and sometimes when you've got momentum, sometimes you get punished.
“I think that's what we did. We took a little bit of time to recover, and we just had to keep pushing and then a set-piece right at the death, you can't ask for much better than that and it was great to see the away end react how they did.”
