Antoine Semenyo has previously suggested he would be interested in joining Arsenal, as speculation surrounding his future at Bournemouth continues to grow.
The 25-year-old will be available for £65 million ($85.5 million) during the January transfer window after it was revealed that the new contract he signed just four months ago includes a release clause. Liverpool is among those clubs interested in Semenyo.
Bournemouth will be powerless to prevent the forward's departure if a club triggers his clause within the opening fortnight of January and he wishes to move. Semenyo has been among the Premier League's most impressive performers this season, netting six goals and contributing three assists across 12 appearances.
The Ghana international has been linked with Manchester United and Tottenham, as well as Liverpool. Ruben Amorim is understood to have met Semenyo at the conclusion of last season before he rejected a switch to Old Trafford and penned his new deal.
The former Bristol City player may be waiting for an opportunity to join the Emirates, having told The Athletic last year: "I am an Arsenal fan."
Yet he added: "I don't conflict the two with my job. It is great to play against Arsenal, a team I have watched all my life, and I want to play for the top clubs as well. In order for that to happen, I need to prove it."
Semenyo continued: "Any team that plays Champions League, Europa (League) - that's the aim. I know that's not going to come with a click of my fingers, it's going to take some time.
"It's going to take goals. It's going to take a lot of consistent performances. But I've worked all my life for that, and I'm just going to continue working hard. That's my mentality."
Bournemouth's general manager, Tim Bezbatchenko, has recently acknowledged the difficulty in preventing Semenyo from moving to an elite club.
"When a club like Real Madrid, Liverpool, PSG come in and they're competing for Champions League positions, who are we to say, 'No, you can't go, you can't fulfil your dream,'" Bezbatchenko told the 'Business of Sport' podcast.
"No, it wouldn't be like that for all clubs because not everyone is Real Madrid. But there is an opportunity, and everybody wins, right?
"I think that's what we're trying to find, this commonality where everybody can win."
At present, Arsenal hasn't been connected with Semenyo, having made substantial investments in its attacking options during the summer transfer window.
However, as the forward suggests, continued goal-scoring form and reliable displays could see the Gunners express their interest.
