Liverpool head coach Arne Slot says Mohamed Salah has been rested for today's game with Galatasaray, with the Reds' boss taking the chance to rotate his side.
Jeremie Frimpong, he confirmed, will play on the right wing in place of Salah. Dominik Szoboszlai will play full-back again, a role that he has excelled in so far this season.
Hugo Ekitike also comes back into the starting XI, while Florian Wirtz will operate in his favored number 10 berth. Cody Gakpo returns to the team on the left wing.
Salah has not had the best start to the new season. The Egyptian, though, has still racked up three goals and three assists in eight appearances in all competitions.
Last season, Liverpool finished top of the Champions League group phase, winning seven games out of eight. However, it then faced PSG and was knocked out, suggesting that coming in first position is probably not too important.
