The midfielder did not emerge for the start of the second half against Fulham after sustaining a groin injury in the first half at Anfield — his participation in the midweek Champions League quarterfinal is now in doubt

Arne Slot said he does not expect Curtis Jones to be fit for Liverpool’s Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, after the midfielder sustained a groin injury in the 2-0 win over Fulham.
The Reds ended their three-match losing streak with an impressive victory at Anfield on Saturday. Arne Slot’s side dominated for long spells, particularly in the first half, when Rio Ngumoha and Mohamed Salah scored.
The three points strengthen Liverpool’s top-five aspirations and go some way to shifting the gloom that has hung over the club in recent weeks. But the only downside of the Fulham win was Jones being forced off at half-time.

He managed to limp through to the interval, but did not return at the start of the second period. Instead, Ryan Gravenberch took his place.
After the match, Slot revealed he expects the issue to keep Jones out of the midweek Champions League second leg at Anfield.
“He felt a little bit his groin,” said the Dutchman. “It wasn’t in the moment. He felt it a bit for a few minutes, so let’s hope for the best. I would be surprised if a player comes off that he is available for Tuesday.

“I would almost say welcome to our season. Every time after a win or something good happens, there is always an injury following. But it’s a win, and that’s what we should be very happy with.”
Reflecting on the victory, Slot added: “Of course, I am happier than after losing 4-0 and 2-0 [in the last two games].
“A good first half. We were already close a few times, couldn’t convert one of the chances, and then Rio had a good moment.

“Just before that, I felt Fulham got a bit more into the game, so it was really helpful that Rio had a great one-v-one moment and scored a great goal. And afterwards Mo finished off well. Then you're quite comfortable at half-time.
“It [the dressing room] is a better place than it was two or three days ago or a week ago,” Slot added.
“But it's also not that after we win, then all of a sudden everything is good again. We know there is still a lot to play for.
"Everyone can understand after 4-0 and 2-0 losses, and then to come out today after only two days of rest, that shows the mentality of the team. We've played many games like this this season but they've not always led to a win."
