Liverpool boss Arne Slot says the Reds are facing another big summer in the transfer market after being eliminated from the Champions League on Tuesday - and admitted they "have to sell to buy".
The defeat was not unexpected, but it means that Liverpool will only play Premier League fixtures for the rest of the season. Its one task now is clear: to get back into the Champions League next year after a difficult campaign.
"That is what we have to play for now in the coming weeks," Slot said live on Amazon Prime at Anfield. "The good thing is Alex (Isak) is back, well able to make minutes.

The club has sold eight or 10 players to make money to sign five or so very talented players. We have to sell to buy.
"We are losing some players on a free transfer. It is a big challenge in the summer but the club has shown this model works. As I said many times the future looks very good, especially if we can sign players after good players leaving this summer."
When the season ends, of course, Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson will be among those to leave. Neither will bring in a transfer fee to reinvest and they will leave a big gap in experience too.

In terms of this game, there were positives to take, but ultimately PSG was far superior and more than deserving of a place in the semi-finals, where it will take on either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid.
"Last week was of course tough and very difficult, but we showed in a week that we can improve a lot and it is a big compliment to the players that they showed how they could be," Slot added.
"The players kept on going, even after going 1-0 down and that is a big compliment to them.
"If you look at xG we should have scored two but didn't score one and that has happened far too often this season."

Slot also felt that his side should have been awarded a penalty when Willian Pacho initially appeared to have brought down Alexis Mac Allister. The referee awarded a spot kick but then overturned his decision.
"If you look at our season, I am completely not surprised because so many decisions have gone against us," Slot said. "For me, it is quite simple: if the referee did not give a penalty, the VAR would never have intervened.
"As I said, I don't think it is a surprise this season, not just the Champions League, but also in the Premier League, many decisions have gone against us. But we couldn't score a goal and we had many chances."
