Arne Slot's revealing locker room reaction after Liverpool lost to Man Utd

2 weeks ago 9

Despite suffering a fourth consecutive defeat, Arne Slot remained composed in the dressing room on Sunday, marking Liverpool's worst run of results since 2014.

The Dutchman, who is not used to losing matches, has seen the Reds lose their top spot after three consecutive Premier League losses and a Champions League defeat. This marked the first time his team had been defeated at Anfield in the league for a year.

However, instead of showing anger, Slot kept a cool head in the home dressing room, according to the Daily Mail. The Liverpool boss is fully aware of the pressure to get back to winning ways, amid constant questions arising from a significant summer spending spree.

His success in the Premier League means there are no concerns about his position, and the former Feyenoord boss, currently facing the biggest challenge of his Liverpool career, continues to stick to the principles that have served him well.

Even while away on the international break, when he travelled to Dubai for some sunshine, the Liverpool manager was believed to have spent most of his time contemplating the pressing matters facing his side.

He was analyzing countless video clips on his laptop in a bid to halt their decline.

Slot starts his day by reading the Dutch publication De Telegraaf and listening to talkSPORT on his drive to training.

Despite being aware of the narrative unfolding around him and his team, he remains largely unfazed by any critical press coverage.

Slot has chosen to live outside of Liverpool city center, primarily to enjoy a quieter life away from the constant commentary.

He acknowledges that he's been facing challenges since his arrival - first securing victories, then dealing with comparisons to Jurgen Klopp, and now trying to break this losing streak.

He said: "I think as a manager you face constantly challenges. When I just started, you face the challenge of being a new manager and then you need to win games.

"Then when you do well you go to a bigger club and people are like, 'Oh, let's see how he does over there.' Then you go to be the successor of Jurgen Klopp and people say this is the biggest challenge you ever faced.

"Now we have lost four times in a row and that's also a challenge. So, the life of a football manager is an ongoing challenge.

"If you win games you want to keep winning, if you lose games you want to start winning again."
