Liverpool beat Wolves in the Premier League but it was only a narrow victory and Arne Slot has been told to switch things up for the visit of Leeds United which comes next

Liverpool has now won three Premier League games in a row after a difficult spell for Arne Slot, but the Reds will need to improve again before they are fully back on track.
Up to fourth in the standings and back in line for a Champions League finish, Liverpool has looked much better in recent matches, but must get even better to ensure it keeps pace with the likes of Aston Villa. And while it beat Wolves last time out, the second half was not completely convincing.
Former Liverpool midfielder Ray Houghton, speaking on the club's official podcast, believes that Slot needs to change the way his team plays at home against sides lower down in the table as a result, starting with the visit of Leeds United on Thursday.

"We have got to come up with a plan. There’s going to be something when the coaching staff sit down, look at the previous matches, look at today’s and say: 'Right, what can we do better to get in behind them?'
"We did play nice little one-twos but then the delivery or the pull back wasn’t quite of the quality required and not enough numbers of players getting into the box.

"Particularly at home, I don’t think we need to have Alexis [Mac Allister], Curtis [Jones] and Ryan [Gravenberch] outside the box when we’re going down the flanks and we’re crossing it. I think at least two of them have got to break into the box.
"We've got enough defenders back there, you've got your two center-halves and the full-back, whatever side you’re going down, the other one should come in.
"You can't do that every game. You can’t think: 'Oh, we gave a goal away last week doing this'.
"You've got to be more positive and say: 'See you boys at the back, you've got to concentrate and if the ball comes out, go and attack it'. You have game management, knowing when to press and when to sit off."

After taking on Leeds, Liverpool will then face Fulham and Arsenal in consecutive London away days. Before the end of January, the Reds will also play Burnley, Bournemouth and Newcastle in the Premier League.
Liverpool.com says: Breaking down a low block has always been a tricky task but the Reds had little trouble in that regard last season. The key is getting back to that level of consistency.
Florian Wirtz will help, but so too Jeremie Frimpong. The former's quality in opening teams up is obvious, but the latter showed his ability to beat a man and pull something back from the byline when he teed up Gravenberch against Wolves.
