Arsenal are gearing up to take on Tottenham Hotspur as the club return to Premier League action this weekend. It is a pivotal match for the Gunners, who are keen to preserve their four-point lead at the top of the table.

Mikel Arteta's squad signed off for the international break with a 2-2 stalemate against Sunderland, giving Manchester City the chance to start applying pressure on the league leaders. Spurs will be eager to put a dent in Arsenal's title aspirations, but Arteta's side will enjoy home advantage at the Emirates Stadium this Sunday.

However, Arteta may have to make do without several of his key players. Gabriel Magalhaes was among those who sustained an injury while on international duty, contributing to a growing list of potentially sidelined players.

Arsenal's focus will be on earning a victory against Spurs, who will be looking to exploit any major absences in Arteta's line-up. Here, football.london explores some of the headlines surrounding the Gunners.

Arsenal eyeing £70m talent

German publication Sport1 has reported that Arsenal are among the clubs showing interest in Eintracht Frankfurt sensation Jean-Matteo Bahoya. The 20-year-old winger is viewed as a promising talent, with the German club slapping a £70m price tag on the France U21 international.

He arrived from Angers in 2024 and featured 33 times across all competitions last season, mainly as a substitute, contributing a combined seven goals and assists. Bahoya kicked off this campaign with a brace against Werder Bremen but is said to have become increasingly frustrated with his limited playing time.

Despite the young striker being utilised as a squad player, Arsenal have been linked with a potential move for Bahoya. Frankfurt's sporting director Markus Krosche is claimed to value Bahoya at £70million.

Bahoya was reportedly the target of a £61million offer from a Saudi Arabian club during the summer, which the German side rejected. Frankfurt have secured substantial transfer fees for Hugo Ekitike and Randal Kolo Muani in recent seasons.

Eberechi Eze responds to transfer fee

Eberechi Eze has dismissed any notion of pressure following his summer switch from Crystal Palace. The 27-year-old, who has netted twice and provided three assists in 17 matches, maintains that he has not felt compelled to justify his £60million price tag.

"Pressure? For me? No. Pressure, no, because I think that is just how my belief system is set up," Eze told the Beast Mode On podcast.

"I don't feel the pressure because of what I believe, and the faith that I have. I feel like I have been put in a position, because a club like Arsenal deemed it worthy.

"They pay that money because you are worth that money. Putting it into numbers is hard, because my belief system is set up on a different thing.

"But it is an opportunity. It is an opportunity to go play, do my stuff, be the player that I know I can be - and then you will tell me if I was worth the money or not."
