The Arsenal XI predicted ahead of the Premier League match against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium

Arsenal take on Everton at the brand new Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday evening after the game was pushed back due to the rescheduling of the Gunners' League Cup quarter-final against Crystal Palace. After the difficult and nervous victory over Wolves, Mikel Arteta needs to see a response from his side.

The team have enjoyed a rare week without any midweek action. In fact it is the first time since the week commencing August 25 that Arsenal have been able to enjoy a week without any match commitments giving Arteta time to prepare.

While some players remain out, with Ben White joining those in the treatment room, several have come back. And there is a debate who should start up front, as football.london gives their view on who they think will start on Merseyside.

David Raya

After conceding from a close-range header against Wolves, the Spaniard will be vital in helping Arsenal end a torrid winless run by keeping a clean sheet.

Jurrien Timber

With both Ben White and Cristhian Mosquera injured, this will be a very demanding period for Jurrien Timber who is the only natural senior right back available.

William Saliba

Back to fitness and at the perfect time too, as the Gunners need some stability in their defence and the foundation to tackle these tricky festive games.

Piero Hincapie

Gabriel Magalhaes is pushing to return for Arsenal as soon as possible, but in the meantime, it will be the Ecuador international who continues to deputise in his stead.

Riccardo Calafiori

The Italian missed the game against Wolves due to suspension, and his presence was certainly felt. Reprising his role will be key to whether the Gunners get the win on Merseyside.

Martin Zubimendi

Despite being absent from the session on Monday, the Spanish midfielder was confirmed by Arteta to just be missing as they manage his load.

Declan Rice

Also a player who would have benefited from this week off and one who, while refreshed, will be able to bring his best work back for the Gunners after a slightly off performance against Wolves, like much of the team.

Martin Odegaard

A player in need of a big performance on Saturday after coming in for some scrutiny since his return from injury, with Eberechi Eze being dropped to the Gunners’ bench.

Bukayo Saka

Effectively helped win the game with Wolves single-handedly with his two deliveries, which led to the two own goals that proved to be the difference on the night.

Viktor Gyokeres

A big call with the form of Gabriel Jesus, but dropping Viktor Gyokeres would perhaps become an even bigger story than if he started and failed to score, to later be replaced.

Leandro Trossard

It is crucial for the Belgian to return to the starting lineup for Arsenal. Along with Saka, he has comfortably been the most impressive attacking player and will be vital to any hope of winning here with a good record against the Toffees.
