Arsenal have until February 2 to complete their transfer business and could see three players leave the club before the deadline

Arsenal could be on the verge of seeing another player leave the club in the coming weeks, with Ethan Nwaneri heading for the exit door. The Gunners have until February 2 to complete their transfer business, at which point the window will close until after the end of the season.

Nwaneri is reportedly close to completing a loan move away from the Emirates Stadium, with Ligue 1 outfit Marseille said to be the forward’s destination.

The Arsenal star has struggled for regular game time this season following the arrivals of Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke, and if a loan is completed, it would be to get more valuable minutes under Nwaneri’s belt before the end of the campaign.

Now, there are reports that Arsenal could be about to see another member of their squad leave the club before the January transfer window closes.

De Telegraaf have reported that Christian Norgaard is a player of interest to Eredivisie giants Ajax before the transfer window slams shut.

The report claims that the 31-year-old is one of several midfielders being targeted by Ajax, with Manuel Ugarte of Manchester United, Edson Alvarez of West Ham and Wataru Endo of Liverpool also being considered.

It has been suggested in the report that Alvarez, who is currently on loan at Fenerbahce from West Ham, is the priority target for Ajax, but that Norgaard is still a player of interest to the Amsterdam-based club.

Ajax are also closing in on the signing of Oleksandr Zinchenko from Arsenal before the deadline, with reports claiming the deal is set to be 'announced' soon.

The left-back has spent the first half of the season on loan at Nottingham Forest, but is now expected to complete a move to Ajax before the transfer window closes.

Zinchenko is in the final six months of his contract at Arsenal and was initially expected to join Ajax on loan for the rest of the season, but the Gunners are now looking to agree a permanent deal for the left-back to move to Eredivisie giants.

It was scheduled that Zinchenko would undergo a medical on Tuesday to join Ajax on loan, but that was postponed with all parties now reconvening to agree a new deal that would see the Ukraine international move to Amsterdam on a permanent basis and see his Arsenal career come to an end.

Zinchenko join Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022 and has made 91 appearances for the club since his £32million switch from the Etihad Stadium three-and-a-half years ago.
