Arsenal have suffered a significant injury concern after Noni Madueke was withdrawn during England's friendly against Uruguay. The Three Lions winger began the match for Thomas Tuchel's side but departed after just 38 minutes.
The problem arose five minutes prior, as he attempted to surge into the Uruguay penalty area from the right wing. Madueke was caught by Rodrigo Aguirre, prompting tentative penalty appeals, though the official allowed play to continue.
The Arsenal player remained on the turf receiving extended medical attention before rising to his feet and trying to carry on. Nevertheless, despite his determination, he collapsed to the floor once more moments later and was substituted by West Ham's Jarrod Bowen.
This represents the latest in a series of fitness setbacks for Mikel Arteta, with six players unavailable during the current international window.

Eberechi Eze, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel, William Saliba, Jurrien Timber and Martin Odegaard were all withdrawn from their respective national squads. The severity of the injury remains unknown, though Madueke seemed to be clutching his face as he departed the field.
The Gunners' player had been afforded a chance to prove his worth ahead of this summer's World Cup in the United States. He was the sole Arsenal representative in the starting line-up, with colleague Ben White scoring his first Three Lions goal from the bench.
The likes of Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka were absent from the squad to face Uruguay, with Tuchel utilising the final warm-up fixture ahead of this summer's tournament to assess a variety of different players.
Arteta and Arsenal will be hoping the injury to Madueke is not too serious. He was able to walk off the pitch but headed straight down the tunnel.
Arsenal suffered defeat to title rivals Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final before the international break, though they hold a nine-point advantage over Pep Guardiola's side in the Premier League.
Timber, Odegaard and Eze all missed the cup final, with Arteta offering an injury update on the trio ahead of the fixture.
On the former two players, he said: "They couldn't make it, so I think they will still be a couple of weeks. Let's see after the international break if we have anybody back."
On Eze, Arteta said: "We have to do another scan in six or seven days and wait and see the results. Is it a leg injury. His calf."
