Arsenal star Noni Madueke is a new injury worry for Mikel Arteta after the winger was substituted for England against Uruguay on Friday evening
Arsenal winger Noni Madueke has been spotted in a knee brace after limping off for England during Friday's 1-1 draw against Uruguay. The 24-year-old was substituted just 38 minutes into the international friendly at Wembley Stadium after a problem arose five minutes beforehand.
Madueke attempted to surge into Uruguay's penalty area from the right wing, but was caught by Rodrigo Aguirre. The contact prompted tentative penalty appeals, but the official allowed play to continue.
He remained on the pitch and received extended medical attention before rising to his feet and trying to continue. However, despite his determination, Madueke collapsed to the floor once more moments later and was substituted by West Ham United's Jarrod Bowen.
While the extent of Madueke's injury is not yet known, it represents another injury concern for Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta. The Spaniard has six players unavailable during the current international window.

Eberechi Eze, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel, William Saliba, Jurrien Timber and Martin Odegaard were all absent from their respective national squads. And Madueke, leaving Wembley on Friday evening in a knee brace, is another injury concern for the Gunners.
Madueke was the sole Arsenal representative in Thomas Tuchel's starting line-up against Uruguay as the Three Lions prepare for this summer's World Cup finals in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Gunners colleague Ben White scored his first England goal from the bench, having made his first international appearance since 2022.

And Tuchel has had his say on White's performance - with the defender also conceding a stoppage-time penalty to hand Uruguay a late equaliser.
He said: "Too good to be true, when he got the winner, which was then not the winner.
“And in the end, he's maybe a bit too tough, too greedy in his defensive actions, but still, I don’t think it’s a penalty. It would have been nice to keep a clean sheet and take another win, but it won’t change my opinion on them."
Arsenal duo Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka were absent from Tuchel's squad against their South American opponents. The England manager opted to utilise the World Cup warm-up fixture to assess a variety of different players.
The Three Lions return to action on Tuesday against Japan (7:45pm GMT) before their final warm-up match in June against Costa Rica ahead of this summer's tournament in North America.
