Arsenal have been linked with several deals during the January transfer window
Arsenal have been linked with a number of potential deals as the midway point of the January transfer window approaches. The Gunners are in a prime position to bolster their squad as they aim for Premier League and Champions League success.
Currently enjoying a six-point lead at the top of the league, Arsenal are well aware that key signings could help push them over the line. Manchester City's new signing Antoine Semenyo has demonstrated how strong recruitment can provide teams with a vital boost.
Beyond the title race, there are other opportunities for Arsenal to end their trophy drought. Mikel Arteta's team are gearing up for the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final against Chelsea on Wednesday night.
While the club's immediate focus is on progressing to the Wembley final, there's been plenty of speculation about how Arsenal might strengthen during the January window. football.london takes a look at the latest transfer rumours surrounding the Gunners.

Arsenal compete with Man Utd for target
It has been reported that Arsenal are keeping tabs on Corinthians' talented midfielder Breno Bidon, who has previously been linked with Manchester United. The 20-year-old made 56 appearances for the Brazilian side last year.
FourFourTwo reports that the Gunners have been in touch with the Brazilian club regarding a possible move for Bidon. Although discussions are said to be in the early stages, it's not the first time the young player has been associated with a move to the Premier League.
Brazilian publication UOL has previously reported that both Manchester United and Manchester City are in the running for his signature, with Napoli and PSV Eindhoven also rumoured to be potential landing spots.
Meanwhile, Brazilian outlet ETI Esporte recently claimed that Corinthians have given Bidon a £26million price tag. His contract is currently set to run until December 2029.
Christian Norgaard admission
Christian Norgaard has provided much-needed depth to Arsenal's midfield, although his role at the Gunners is quite different from his stint at Brentford. The 31-year-old was a mainstay in Thomas Frank's side last season, making 34 league starts for the Bees.
Despite featuring 11 times for the Gunners since his summer switch, Norgaard is yet to make a Premier League start for his new club. The midfielder acknowledged that adapting to his new position in the squad hierarchy has taken time.
Speaking to the club website, he said: "I've not had as many minutes on the pitch as I would have wanted, but I think I've still felt an integrated part of the team," adding, "I think it's been good so far."
"Obviously, there's always a time where you have to settle in and get used to everyone and everything. Players have different personalities, so it's also about fitting into the dynamic with your own style too.

"That comes down to a great culture, I think, where it has been easy to step in. I'm doing my best to have conversations with different players and also talk about other topics than just football."
Reflecting on his initial days at Arsenal, he added: "No, I don't really find it easy, but I also believe in what you give is what you get. So for me to be able to feel highly energised and in a good spirit, no matter the minutes I play, I also have to give something of myself."
"I try to remind myself that even when it can be a bit frustrating not playing, I still have to bring to the group because that dynamic will also give me energy back again."
