Arsenal take on Bournemouth in what some are describing as the Gunners’ most important Premier League match for nearly 22 years. A win here would move the North London side 12 points clear of their title rivals, Manchester City.
Mikel Arteta sent an inspiring message of ‘Bring your lunch! Bring your dinner!’ to try and inspire the fan base into creating a big atmosphere for what is an early kick-off, a time which can sometimes create a dour affair from the stands. But with what is at stake, the Gunners’ supporters will need to be on their A-game.
Eberechi Eze returns to the group and there is optimism over Bukayo Saka and Piero Hincapie too. Jurrien Timber, Riccardo Calafiori and Martin Odegaard are doubts with a chance of making the squad.

Arsenal predicted XI vs Bournemouth as Gyokeres and Havertz start in four changes
Arsenal take on Bournemouth in the Premier League, hoping to move 12 points clear of their title rivals Manchester City, who travel to Chelsea on Sunday. The Gunners have responded to their double cup exit with a win over Sporting CP, and the mood has improved.
Mikel Arteta said his team had rediscovered their identity in Portugal, and was supported by Riccardo Calafiori’s post-match thoughts. The Italian, however, was not one of those spotted in Thursday’s training session alongside several others on whom the manager gave an update during Friday’s press conference.
With Bournemouth as the next opponent, it changes the context of the challenge ahead and Arteta will need to find a way to pick what’s right for this test. With that in mind, football.london assesses who they think will start this game.

Exclusive Viktor Gyokeres interview: Arsenal star on keys to title success, Mikel Arteta impact and nerves
Viktor Gyokeres entered the room with an air of confidence. This was not a striker who appeared nervous as Arsenal compete to win both the Premier League and Champions League.
The experience of the former Sporting CP man, who won back to back titles in Portugal, will be crucial to the Gunners as we enter the final straight of the 2025/26 season.
Gyokeres has spearheaded Arsenal’s chase for their ultimate goal for the majority of the season and has now urged his teammates to bring focus and enjoyment to the title run-in despite the weight of hope and expectation on their shoulders.
Speaking exclusively to football.london, Gyokeres explained what it takes mentally to win a league campaign. “You have to be so focused every game and take every game as seriously as you can, no matter who you play. All the points that you get count in the end," the 27-year-old said.
