Arsenal take on Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup fourth round, looking to make the next stage of the competition for the first time since the Gunners won it in 2020. Their opponents currently sit 22nd in League One, and therefore, the expectation of progression has never been higher.
This would see Arsenal move further in what is their fourth competition this season. Top of the Premier League, top of the Champions League, into the last-16, and are in the final of the Carabao Cup, Mikel Arteta wants to be competitive in all tournaments.
He will be without Kai Havertz and could be further without Martin Odegaard, who suffered a knee problem against Brentford. The game will be a chance for many of the fringe players to get some gametime, and maybe for some younger stars too, with Max Dowman now back in first-team training.
