Atalanta boss Ivan Juric is expecting a tough game against AC Milan, even if they did need a bit of luck to get a draw against Pisa.
Milan have made a good start to the season and have found themselves up at the top end of the table with five wins from their first eight games. However, the dropped points against newly promoted sides in Cremonese and Pisa has left a bit of a bitter taste.
Tough challenges are on the horizon, too. Massimiliano Allegri’s side face a midweek trip to face Atalanta before they welcome high-flying Roma to San Siro at the weekend. After the international break Inter await, followed by a league-and-cup double header against Lazio.
Juric spoke after Atalanta’s 1-1 draw against Cremonese – one in which Jamie Vardy got his first Serie A goal – and he was asked about the upcoming game against the Rossoneri, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
“It’ll be a tough match. Against Pisa, they equalised at the last minute with a 30-meter shot, so you also need luck. But they have great players; under Allegri, they’re a competitive and very solid team. We’re expecting a very tough match.”
