Nottingham Forest are in talks with AC Milan over a move for Yunus Musah, and a report has claimed he is now open to the move.
Musah arrived at Milan from Valencia two years ago and has played 80 games for the club across all competitions. Despite the sale of Tijjani Reijnders, the signing of three new midfielders – Luka Modric, Samuele Ricci and Ardon Jashari – threatens to put him on the fringes.
Musah talks on with Forest
Now, The Athletic have confirmed that talks are on between Forest and Milan over a deal, and if those negotiations lead to an agreement, ‘personal terms for the USA international are not expected to be an issue’.
Milan’s stance on Musah’s future was made clear by the comments that Igli Tare made at the start of the summer, even if there have been rumours that the head coach Massimiliano Allegri is an admirer of Musah.

“I consider Musah an excellent player, but we are looking for profiles with characteristics that fit the project we have with coach Allegri.
“We are seeking deep-lying midfielders for a three-man midfield. Musah doesn’t have these characteristics. He can play in a two or three-man midfield but with different characteristics. This is the real reason why we want to do something different.”
The Athletic go on to state that Douglas Luiz of Juventus is another player Forest have looked into, with Nuno Espirito Santo wanting to replace Danilo and Lewis O’Brien who left for Botafogo and Wrexham respectively.
