AC Milan sent their first offer to Liverpool for Joe Gomez this morning, but they have not received any confirmation yet from either party.
The primary target for the defence was Manuel Akanji, and that route has been cancelled this morning, with the Manchester City defender not agreeing to a move; he would like to play Champions League football.
Nevertheless, he is not the only target, and Milan have had several options to consider in the past few days. After the Akanji refusal, though, they have moved quickly for another target, sending an offer to Liverpool this morning.
Nothing… yet
As Matteo Moretto states, though, there has been nothing agreed with the Reds or Gomez himself, regarding a move, as he posted on X.
“Milan has not yet reached a full financial agreement with the English defender. Constant contacts between the parties, also awaiting a response from Liverpool to the Rossoneri club’s proposal.”
Things are reliant, at least from a club perspective, on Marc Guehi leaving Crystal Palace to join the Merseyside outfit. However, things seem positive in that respect, so it could work out quickly.
