Baiocchini explains how Milan’s Vlahovic timing could be financially motivated

With each passing day, it seems AC Milan will wait to launch their pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic. However, there is reasoning behind it.

A move for Vlahovic is difficult, yes. However, it is not impossible, and with the constant contacts between Milan and the relevant parties, it shows that there is hope for the move. In fact, more new contacts were made recently, per reports.

Though suggestions are that the Rossoneri will have to wait to land their man.

Time in hand

It has been reported that a move towards the end of August is more likely, due to the fact that it will force Juventus to make a decision. Either to keep him until the end of his contract, or to move on and seek a new striker.

In either case, Milan somewhat have the upper hand. However, there is another factor to consider as well, as stated by Manuele Baiocchini on Sky Sport last night (via Garante_Il on X).

“Even 2 months can make a difference in the Vlahovic matter. He has a salary of12 million; 2 months would mean that July and August are paid by Juventus. So, moving him forward could be convenient for both the player and the potential buyer.”
