Emanuele Sala has impressed when given the chance for the first team, both in pre-season and in training, and now AC Milan are working on a contract renewal.
Given Milan’s injury struggles in recent weeks, several youngsters have been on the bench for the first team, including Sala. The midfielder was called up for the Fiorentina and Pisa games, and during his presser earlier today, Massimiliano Allegri confirmed that he will be included tomorrow as well.
While the 17-year-old is yet to feature for the first team, we saw what he’s capable of during the pre-season. He played from start in the friendly against Leeds United and despite facing a very physical team, he showed great character and was named the MOTM by us.
Renewal in the works
According to Luca Bendoni, Milan have opened talks with Sala and his entourage over a contract renewal. The Rossoneri have reached agreements with several of the youngsters in recent weeks, and the midfielder is expected to be the next one.

Sala signed his first professional contract with the club at the end of 2023, but that deal is set to expire in 2026. On top of that, given the positive development and impressive performances, the youngster deserves a pay rise.
As said, he really impressed in pre-season and there’s a reason why Allegri considers him ready to help the first team as well.
