AC Milan are serious about signing Kim Min-jae in the winter window, but they face competition from city rivals Inter.
Milan were linked with a number of different centre-backs towards the end of the summer, such as Manuel Akanji and Joe Gomez. In the end however it was David Odogu who arrived, leading many to suggest an experienced player in that role is still needed.
Kim back in Italy?
According to Bild, Milan and Inter are monitoring the situation of Kim Min-jae at Bayern Munich closely. Following Jonathan Tah’s arrival at Bayern Munich this summer, he has been getting less playing time under Vincent Kompany.
The South Korea international has seen his minutes decline and so exit talk has ramped up. However, the report claims that Kim remains fully committed to Bayern and is determined to fight his way back into the starting line-up.
Not only that, but the high salary that Kim currently earns is a big hurdle for clubs to overcome, especially in Serie A. It must also be noted that the former Napoli man is the third choice behind Tah and Dayot Upamecano, so there is not much cover in that department for the Bavarian side.
