Oli and Anthony debate why Milan and Inter are leaving San Siro, how the new stadium should look and what will happen with San Donato.

It has been a big week for the stadium project. The city council approved the sale of San Siro on Tuesday and now, the clubs just need to complete the purchase. Then, as Paolo Scaroni said earlier today, it will be a matter of starting the design work.

Consider just how big a step forward this is, Oliver and Anthony decided to discuss it in the latest edition of the Bonus Podcast. Naturally, the fact that Milan will demolish more or less the entire Giuseppe Meazza stadium has upset some fans, but the situation just wasn’t sustainable.

With a new stadium, Milan will be able to rely on a lot more revenue and in turn, they will be able to invest more in the team. We’re also not talking about a move outside the city perimeters, which would have been the case with San Donato.
