Athekame was announced by Milan last week, arriving from Young Boys in a deal worth around €10m. It was a necessary signing by the Rossoneri, following the departures of multiple right-backs, and the hope is that he can break into the team soon.

For now, however, the 20-year-old still has a lot to learn and he will certainly get great help from Max Allegri’s staff, as well as the more experienced teammates. Then again, the idea is that he could snatch a starting spot already this season.
