Over the last few days, as a result of Maignan’s injury against Bologna, there have been some questions regarding the Frenchman’s future at the club. His contract will expire in the summer and if he’s not going to renew, now would be a good time to test his deputy.

Of course, the fans are talking about Pietro Terracciano but rather Lorenzo Torriani, who is the third-choice goalkeeper currently. The 20-year-old has impressed massively when given the chance and some believe he could be the new starter from next season.

Oliver, Anthony and Madison discussed the goalkeeping situation in the latest edition of the bonus podcast. It’s a difficult one to assess without knowing the outcome of the Maignan negotiations, but one could still argue that Torriani should get the chance more often.
