The slide down the table continues for Milan Futuro as they lost their third straight league game on Wednesday against Breno.
Before the international break, the Futuro’s unbeaten start came to an end at the hands of Virtus Ciserano Bergamo, losing 1-0 after a lacklustre performance. On Sunday afternoon, Massimo Oddo’s side were beaten 2-0 by Caldiero Terme at home, a team that had struggled to begin the campaign.
The pressure was therefore on for the game against Breno on Wednesday afternoon, but no response was forthcoming. All three goals in the game were scored inside 10 minutes in the first half, but sadly the home side got two of the.
It was minute 24 that the deadlock was broken in as Valenti netted from a free-kick. In truth, some questions could be asked about Lorenzo Torriani in the Milan goal, as the set piece seemed to catch him by surprise somewhat.
Less than two minutes later, Breno had doubled their advantage and taken command of the game. Vladimirov made a bad mistake which allowed a one-two between Castelli and Senatore to be buried by the latter.
Domnitei – fresh off signing his first professional contract with Milan – got his side back into the game in the 33rd minute. Maximilian Ibrahimovic was the supplier with a cross from the flank that was nodded in.
Oddo’s side generated very little in the second half despite their need to get back into the game, with not even a triple sub – to introduce Geroli, Ossola and Lontani – making much of a difference.
