AC Milan have been linked with a move for Arnaud Kalimuendo recently, but Matteo Moretto believes it is not a strong link.
Last night, Sky reported that Kalimuendo is the latest name on a list of potential options for the centre-forward role, but no offer has been made yet by the club. In the season that has just finished, Kalimuendo made 33 league appearances for the Ligue 1 side and scored 17 goals.
The former PSG forward ticks boxes in terms of his versatility because he is capable of playing both as a lone striker and alongside another player. So, he could be used in the 4-3-3 and the 3-5-2 formations implemented by Allegri at Milan so far.
Kalimuendo: Not a concrete target
Speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, Moretto gave the following update: “Kalimuendo has been linked with Milan in the last few hours.
“But so far – also thanks to information from Fabrizio Romano – Brentford, Villarreal, and Nottingham Forest are strong on him, so we’ll see if one of them will make a move or not.”
Reading between the lines, it seems as though the 23-year-old cannot be considered a serious target for the Rossoneri at the moment, contrary to the report from last night.
