Tottenham Hotspur could loan one of their most promising talents to the Bundesliga after the youngster agreed personal terms this week.

Spurs Web has been tracking the developments around the 18-year-old’s future very closely, with Thomas Frank facing a big decision on whether or not to loan out Vuskovic.

Regular readers of this website will be aware that a whole host of clubs across Europe have expressed an interest in signing Vuskovic on loan following Croat’s outstanding spell in Belgium last term.

According to various sources, the Bundesliga is likely to be Vuskovic’s destination if Tottenham do decide to loan him out this summer, and one German club have now taken a significant step towards landing the teenager.

Bundesliga club have reached an agreement with Vuskovic

Just a few days ago, reports from Germany claimed that Hamburg are working hard to tie up a loan deal for Vuskovic, and the club have now allegedly reached a breakthrough with the player.

This update comes from Kicker, who say that the North German club, who are back in the Bundesliga after seven years out of the top flight, have now reached an agreement with the Tottenham defender.

If the move does go through, the Spurs youngster will be united with his older brother, Mario, who plays for Hamburg.

However, the move is not yet a done deal, with the report revealing that the German club are still waiting for Tottenham to green-light the loan move.

Tottenham may have to subsidise Luka Vuskovic’s wages

It was reported by Bild last week that Hamburg would not be able to cover Vuskovic’s entire salary.

The outlet claimed that the centre-back’s loan move to Volksparkstadion can only go through if Spurs subsidise a portion of the youngster’s wages.

It remains to be seen if the North London club are willing to do that, but it appears clear that the Croat is not headed to Turkey after Tottenham reportedly turned down Besiktas’ loan approach for Vuskovic.
