There were questions in the summer when Francesco Camarda was sent on loan to Lecce, and now criticism is going to AC Milan.
The handling of Camarda is a difficult one. With a talent like the striker, handling him properly is a difficult task. It is easy to say that he should be the centre piece of Milan, because of other examples in a similar age bracket.
Ultimately, though, football is not so simple. If it were that simple, it would have been done.
Instead, the starlet is currently struggling on loan with Lecce, where his needs are not being fulfilled, and there is a real issue growing about whether he is in the right place to be growing. Even then, though, doubts go deeper.
Camarda struggles
Today, criticism and a solution to the problem have arrived from Michele Criscitiello, and his words to Cose Scomode on Aura Sport have been relayed by PianetaMilan.
“Italian football is burning Camarda, they’ve got it all wrong. This poor striker has been playing since last year, just because he was born in 2008 and was supposed to be the star of Italian football: they took him and threw him into Serie C, then from C they moved him to the Primavera and then for a moment in the first team at Milan.

“Then they brought him to a Lecce team that needs to get points, and they didn’t put him at the centre of the project. Camarda needs to play.
“At this point, send him to Serie B like Esposito did. Send him to Spezia, he scores 7, 8, 10, or 12 goals, and I’ll come up with a different value. But it’s not because a 2008 player necessarily has to play for the AC Milan first team or necessarily has to play in Serie A; let this poor boy go through a journey too.
“Camarda needs to play, and he hasn’t had it for two years.”
