Camarda dedicates Armenia brace and discusses pressure: “Watches over us”

During the international break, Francesco Camarda grabbed three goals for Italy’s Under-21 team, and AC Milan are smiling.

The performances from Camarda continue to impress, and it is easy to forget that he is still only 17 years old, even if it feels like he has been around for a lot longer. Though this is also due to how he speaks and performs.

In the second game of the break, the Italian managed to add a brace to his earlier goal in the break, which was his first for the side, showing that he is truly one of the brightest prospects in European football, again.

Camarda speaks

His brace was a typical one for a striker, being in the right place at the right time and providing the right finish. Nothing complicated, just keeping it all simple, the sign of an experienced goalscorer. Then, after the game, he spoke to Rai 2, as Calciomercato.com relayed.

“I dedicate these goals to Angelo Valenti, who sadly passed away. He was a person I cared about a lot, and I’m very sorry about this, so I wanted to dedicate these goals to him, who watches over us from up there, and to his children.”

The match…

“These games are never easy. We were coming off a 3-0 lead against Sweden, and Armenia is a team that fights not to lose; they’re behind. It’s always very difficult against teams like these. Dagasso came on very well and broke the deadlock. We had a few difficulties, but against teams like that, it’s never easy, not so much to approach, but to play well.”

Pressure on him…

“Yes, I’ve been on many people’s lips for a long time now. Some love me, some hate me… As I’ve said many times before, I try to isolate myself, not to listen to anyone because they’re the voices of people who often mean nothing to me. I listen to the coach, I listen to my teammates and my family.”
