Francesco Camarda has been forced to respond on social media after ridiculous accusations following an answer he gave about playing for Inter.
It is rather remarkable that this has even become a story, but we will provide some context nonetheless. Camarda was a guest on the Panini Sport Italia YouTube channel and he answered questions from kids at the Marcelline Institute for the ‘Draw with Footballers’ show.
One of the young football fans asked him ‘Could you ever play for Inter?’, presumably an Interista himself. Camarda’s response, while chuckling, was clearly one of not wanting to dismiss the question and the child too harshly.
The striker said: “I’m at Lecce now, I prefer to focus on the present. We’ll never know what happens next, but for now, let’s focus on this year.”
Somehow, this has been interpreted by various sources as a serious story, and that he has somehow ‘opened the door’ for Inter in some way. Now, Camarda has cleared things up for good regarding where his heart lays with a post on his Instagram story.
It reads: “I do not accept that an answer given to avoid disappointing children and out of respect for the clubs has been exploited to create fake news. My Milanismo cannot be questioned by anyone ❤️🖤”

Given that Camarda has attended Milan games all his life and has a Curva Sud tattoo on his thigh, we do not see a move to the Nerazzurri in the future as being a big threat.
