Since before the New Year, AC Milan have been trying to sign Montenegrin wonderkid Andrej Kostic. However, it is proving to be difficult.
There is a heavy focus on adding promising young talent to the Futuro set-up, and Milan have been taking particular interest in players regarded as some of the best profiles in Europe. For example, the signing of Juwensley Onstein, who is deemed to be one of the most intriguing Dutch talents.
It is not just in the defence where the Rossoneri are looking, though. In fact, for the past month Igli Tare has been trying to sign a young striker from Partizan Belgrade; Kostic.
Moretto’s update
With eight goals in the Serbian Super Liga, the 19-year-old is an extremely exciting prospect and Massimiliano Allegri is said to be keeping tabs on the situation. However, the Diavolo must do more to bring him to Italy.
This afternoon, Matteo Moretto provided an update on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, via MilanNews.
“I’m told that the gap between Partizan’s Kostic and AC Milan remains wide, and for now, they can’t get close to the Serbian club’s demands. At the moment, Kostic is more of a no than a yes, then we’ll see if the Rossoneri raise their base offer and get closer to Partizan’s demands, which are around €7-8-9 million.”
