Caprile’s agent spills information as Milan consider Maignan replacements: “An eye on him”

With Mike Maignan’s situation not looking much better, AC Milan are making considerations for the future already. 

There is a lot to be said about the handling of Maignan and his future in the past two years. In fact, we have to go back to the summer of 2024 to see the start of Milan’s farcical approach to the goalkeeper’s future.

At that point, the Frenchman had two years left on his deal and wanted to renew. He didn’t. Then, rumours of talks continued through the season, even whilst performances were hit and miss. As a result, the Rossoneri then decided to leave the table.

Now, after a summer of interest, they want to restart talks. However, it seems to be more than difficult, so a replacement must be found in the case that he leaves this summer. Elia Caprile, then, is a liked idea and his agent has shared some information regarding the Diavolo to Nicolo Schira, via MilanPress.

“Torino wanted him during the last summer transfer window, but Cagliari didn’t want to sell him. Milan? I know they’re keeping an eye on him. He dreams of playing for the Italian national team.”
