Antonio Cassano is no stranger to criticising Rafael Leao, and after the draw with Juventus, the Italian has singled the AC Milan star out again.
There is a lot of history between Cassano and Leao, with the latter staying quiet more often than not now. After all, the offensive actions are normally coming from the side of the Italian, rather than the Portuguese, making comments.
Cassano angry again
Today, on Viva El Futbol, the latest set have arrived, after Leao missed two big chances against Juventus at the weekend. With the factors considered, it is a disappointment, but an understandable part of him getting back up to speed.
Nevertheless, the former striker has not considered this, and his words have been relayed by MilanNews.
“Some might think I’m angry with this guy. I don’t know him, I don’t enjoy knowing him, and I don’t care. Because I like him a lot, and I’ve had the incredible privilege of playing with some incredibly phenomenal players.
“When I see this guy who can’t kick with his right or left foot, they think I’m angry with him, but it’s the reality. He can’t play with his back to goal, he has no idea of football, and he can’t kick with his right or left foot.
“He has this speed that makes him throw the ball forward, and it’s fine. What really bothers me is that he thinks he’s a phenomenon. But it’s not his fault, it’s Milan’s fault for giving him 8 million.

“If they’d given me €1 million, €1.5 million, I’d have seen him like everyone else and said, okay, fine. If I look at the last 4-5 years of Leao and the last 4-5 years of Orsolini, the reality is that Orsolini could have earned €8 million, Leao not even €2 million. Facts.
“Orsolini isn’t someone I’m crazy about, but those are facts. Numbers in hand and performances, not goals and assists. Those even more so. And one plays for Bologna and one plays for Milan with great players.”
Of course, when we look at the numbers, Leao is far better than Riccardo Orsolini. In fact, the star averages a contribution every 1.7 appearances, whilst the Italian does so every 2.3. The latter is a fine player, of course, but he is not Leao.
Cassano may need to check his facts, it seems.
