This summer, John Stones will be available on a free transfer, and this is piquing the interest of several top European clubs, including AC Milan.
There are a number of opportunities that Milan may look to capitalise on this summer, with a number of ageing elites at the end of their contracts. Of course, these links have already come up this year, with Robert Lewandowski and Bernardo Silva.
Though, Silva is not the only Manchester City player to be linked now.
Milan begin Stones talks
As Caught Offside report, the Rossoneri have already begun to lay the foundations for a move in the summer. With Massimiliano Allegri seeking an experienced defender since the summer, Stones would fit in perfectly.
At 31, he offers veteran-level comfort in the back three, though his recent injury record and high salary could be enough for the discussions to go cold quickly. Nevertheless, there may be other stopping points with the deal.

The report also states that Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are in contact, with the former seemingly more advanced than either of the other suitors. Furthermore, Vincent Kompany, Stones’ former defensive partner, could offer an advantage.
It is not one to rule out straightaway, but it may be interest and nothing more where the Diavolo are concerned.
