Chelsea have endured a mixed start to the season with Enzo Maresca's side still well in contention for every possibility in the Premier League despite only three wins from their opening seven matches.
We are now into the second international break of the campaign and the Blues find themselves down in seventh place, but only five points off Arsenal, who are leading the league table as it stands. Maresca and his players need to somehow find some more consistency once club football returns, with Chelsea still fighting on all fronts.
Away from the first team, and there are a number of Chelsea players trying to catch the eye of the head coach away from the club. The Blues currently have seven first team members out on loan around Europe, and football.london has taken a detailed look at how they have all fared at the start of the season.
Nicolas Jackson (Bayern Munich)
Jackson has likely played his last game for Chelsea. The 24-year-old striker signed a season-long loan deal at Bayern Munich, with the German champions having an obligation to buy should certain unspecified conditions be met after bizarre transfer saga finally concluded.
Chelsea could receive a £70million package from Bayern if everything in the deal is triggered this season. Jackson has made six appearances under Vincent Kompany thus far, with only two of them being from the start. The Senegal international scored his first - and only - goal for Bayern in their 5-1 win away at Pafos in the Champions League, where he also got himself an assist.
The issue for Jackson is the form of Harry Kane. The England captain has started the season in sensational fashion with the 32-year-old striker scoring an incredible 18 goals in 10 appearances across all competitions.
Mamadou Sarr (Strasbourg)
After signing for Chelsea in the summer, the decision was made to loan Sarr back out to sister club Strasbourg. So it comes as no surprise that the 20-year-old defender has settled back in at the French club seamlessly.
The Frenchman had played the entirety of Strasbourg's eight games, completing every minute, up until the weekend. Sarr missed the 5-0 win over Angers with a dead leg, but the injury is not thought to be too serious and the defender will be hoping to be back available for the trip to European champions Paris Saint-Germain next Friday night.
Mike Penders (Strasbourg)
Penders is expected to have a very busy night in Paris. The 20-year-old goalkeeper has played all but one of Strasbourg's matches in all competitions this term and has flourished during his time in France thus far.
Chelsea have extremely high hopes for Penders, football.london understands, and believe the young Belgian has the capabilities to be the club's No.1 goalkeeper in the future. Penders put in a blinder of a performance in the French side's recent win against Slovan Bratislava, with the goalkeeper winning man of the match for his performance in the 2-1 victory.

Kendry Paez (Strasbourg)
Paez has only started four of his nine appearances for Strasbourg since moving there on a season-long loan deal. The young Ecuadorian has managed the single goal in that time - coming in the 3-2 win away at Paris FC last month - but consistent minutes have been hard to come by.
The 18-year-old was hooked at half-time by manager Liam Rosenior in the 2-1 defeat at home to Marseille on September 26 and was then restricted to just six minutes off the bench in the thrashing of Angers in the next league fixture.
Aaron Anselmino (Borussia Dortmund)
It has been an injury nightmare for Anselmino at Borussia Dortmund so far. The 20-year-old defender made his debut for the Black and Yellow in the 3-0 win against Union Berlin in August, where he shone, but has not appeared since then because of an unspecified muscular injury.
The Argentine sustained the initial problem while sprinting during the September international break. He was on the road to recovery but has recently suffered another setback during his recovery. Anselmino will be hoping to get back available for when the ongoing international break concludes.
Caleb Wiley (Watford)
Wiley's start to life at Vicarage Road was marred by an abductor injury, but the American recently returned to the squad. He made his first start - in his second spell - for the Hornets in their Championship draw with Portsmouth at the start of the month and was trusted in the XI again in the win against Oxford United before the international break.
The 20-year-old was available to buy over the summer transfer window and appears to have no future at Stamford Bridge.
David Datro Fofana (Fatih Karagumruk)
Likewise with Fofana, but the 22-year-old striker has started brilliantly out in Turkey playing for Fatih Karagumruk. Fofana has scored three goals in as many games for the Super Lig side, but - rather unbelievably - is yet to start a match since signing.
A debut goal against Samsunspor and then a double past Manchester United loanee Andre Onana, who now represents Trabzonspor, were not enough for Fofana to start the most recent game before the break against Gaziantep.
