Chelsea vs Ajax LIVE: Champions League kick-off time, how to watch, early team news, live stream

1 week ago 9

Hello and welcome to football.london for live coverage of Chelsea's Champions League clash with Ajax this evening.

The Blues are on three points going into their third match, with Enzo Maresca desperate to take advantage of back-to-back home games in the competition and double their tally tonight. Ajax, meanwhile, are still looking for their first goal in Europe this term, with John Heitinga's team without a point after their opening two matches of the league phase.

Chelsea go into this one as overwhelming favourites but head coach Maresca is missing some key players. Cole Palmer remains sidelined with a groin problem, with the 23-year-old likely to return to action next month, while Liam Delap is closing in on a return but not available for this one.

Joao Pedro will serve his one-match suspension tonight after he was sent off in the win against Benfica last month. Enzo Fernandez, meanwhile, will be assessed to see whether he is fit enough to take any part this evening.

Kick-off at Stamford Bridge is at 8pm (UK time). Bobby Vincent is live in SW6 throughout the evening to bring you updates as Chelsea look for another three points in Europe.
