Hello and welcome to football.london for live coverage of Chelsea's Champions League showdown with Benfica this evening.
Enzo Maresca goes head-to-head with Jose Mourinho, who is returning to Stamford Bridge almost 10 years after leaving the Blues for the second time. Maresca is excited for the challenge of coming up against one of modern football's greatest-ever managers in Mourinho, and will be hoping to outsmart the 62-year-old Portuguese.
After being defeated at Bayern Munich in matchday one, there is added pressure for Chelsea to get a positive result this evening. Likewise, Benfica were beaten on MD1, with Qarabag pulling off one of the shocks of the week by beating the Portuguese side 3-2 away from home.
Maresca is without a host of key players for tonight's match and is also sweating on the fitness of Joao Pedro, Moises Caicedo and Andrey Santos, who he conceded yesterday were a doubt for the game. The confirmed team news will be released around an hour before the scheduled kick-off time of 8pm (UK time).
Bobby Vincent is live in west London throughout the late afternoon and evening to bring you detailed updates and analysis from Stamford Bridge.
