Soccer pundit Chris Sutton has changed his mind on Liverpool going all the way again in the Premier League this season, with Arsenal having taken a commanding lead at the top of the table.
Despite the Reds already having beaten Mikel Arteta's men at Anfield, Liverpool could be 10 points behind the Gunners by the time the weekend's clash against Manchester City kicks off at the Etihad Stadium. Arsenal travels to Sunderland on Saturday.
As a result of the mixed form that Liverpool has shown in the last few weeks, Sutton believes that Arsenal is now firmly in the driving seat when it comes to securing this season's title.
"Did Liverpool turn a corner with their great win over Real Madrid in midweek? Maybe," he told BBC Sport. "But this will show us where they are really at.
"I don’t often change my mind this early, but I don’t think Liverpool can win [the title] anymore. We’ve already seen in the first 10 games how, defensively, they are too vulnerable."
After backing Erling Haaland to score in the weekend's game, Sutton insisted both sides are "fighting for second place" because he believes Arsenal will now go on to win the league.
"[The Manchester City match is] a very interesting game to look forward to because when I wasn’t working here and when I was in Holland, I did know when City v Liverpool was or when Liverpool v City was," Slot said in his press conference earlier.
"I could tell you I was 100 per cent sure in front of my television when this game was there. Similar to the Clasico, by the way, but these are the few games everyone is looking forward to and if you are not part of it, you are looking forward to it as well.
"I think it’s always worth watching because so many great individuals are playing that game and these teams, nine out of 10 times, give you what you expect.

"For me with Pep [Guardiola] that’s 10 out of 10... what I liked about Pep Guardiola’s teams is that 10 out of 10 times you get what you are hoping for: a great game of football.
"No time-wasting and all kinds of things that I start to dislike more and more and more about football. These are not the things you can see if you are watching a Man City game."
Liverpool.com says: Neither the Reds nor Manchester City are out of the title race yet, but there isn't much margin for error for either side, even at this early stage of the campaign.
At some stage, Arsenal is likely to have a couple of results that aren't perfect. The question is whether the second and third-placed teams are close enough to capitalize.
