Milan Futuro’s unbeaten start to the season came to an end on Sunday afternoon as they fell to defeat against local side Virtus Ciserano Bergamo.
Futuro’s brilliant start to the season continued last week as they won 3-0 in their clash against Scanzorosciate thanks to goals from Maxi Ibrahimovic, Diego Sia and Emanuele Borsani. Massimo Oddo’s side were in second place having won three and drawn two.
However, the good run came to an end today as the Futuro suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 1-0 at Virtus Ciserano Bergamo. It wasn’t a great match, decided by a goal with 15 minutes remaining, when the referee awarded a dubious penalty for an alleged foul by Cappelletti.
Lorenzo Torriani did well to save Lucenti’s initial shot from the spot, but Viscardi was the quickest to pounce on the loose ball, and he slotted home with the defenders totally flat-footed.
Oddo’s team created very few chances and the biggest fell to Domnitei, who fired over from a great position when the score was still 0-0. The Rossoneri remain on 11 points, five points behind league leaders Folgore Caratese.
