Massimiliano Allegri is preparing several lineup changes for tonight’s league match against Lecce at San Siro.
To face Eusebio Di Francesco’s side, Calciomercato.com report that the Milan head coach is considering four changes compared to the line-up that he fielded in the last league match (the rescheduled match against Como, a 3-1 win that has ignited debate).
Midfield overhaul
The biggest changes from Allegri are expected to be in midfield, with three changes to the lineup compared to the 3-1 win against Como. Pervis Estupinan is expected to return to the starting lineup in the usual 3-5-2, replacing Davide Bartesaghi on the left.
In midfield, Luka Modric could rest, as could Youssouf Fofana. Ardon Jashari and Samuele Ricci are expected to take their places, respectively. Completing the midfield five are the irreplaceable Adrien Rabiot and Alexis Saelemaekers.

There’s also a change in attack, with Christian Pulisic returning to the starting XI in place of Christopher Nkunku. The American should therefore be Rafael Leao’s strike partner. If that were to be the case, the Frenchman would be on the bench, along with Niclas Füllkrug.
Whether this strategy of making changes pays off remains to be seen. There were several changes for the away game against Fiorentina, as an example, and the Rossoneri ended up needing a last-minute equaliser to keep their unbeaten run going.
