CM: Arizala deadlock opens opportunity for Milan to sign Kostic – the idea

2 days ago 33

It seemed AC Milan were going to sign two young talents this month to push towards the Futuro project. However, things have changed and only one may be possible.

Before January even arrived, Milan had received the ‘Here We Go’ confirmation to sign Juan Arizala. However, things have unfurled with that deal due to complications regarding his path. So, it seems unlikely that he will join.

That may actually help with another case, though.

No to one, yes to another

When it seemed the Rossoneri were going to sign both, there were questions asked about the spots available in the squad, and who would take what. With Arizala effectively off the table, it now seems that a spot, as it were, has been cleared for Andrej Kostic.

Calciomercato.com writes that the Diavolo will not go past certain financial parameters, and with Partizan requesting more money for Kostic, the deal could be at risk. However, the club want to strengthen the Futuro project, as well as strengthen relations with his agent.

The Montenegrin could be key to a move for Dusan Vlahovic, so whilst it is a move for the long-term, it is also a decision to help with the summer.

Another offer worth more than the one worth €5 million and bonuses must be presented to Partizan, and a decision about the deal must be made soon, before European clubs get involved.
