CM: ‘At least on the bench’ – how Milan and Inter are recovering for the derby

AC Milan and Inter are both getting ready for this weekend’s Derby della Madonnina, and they are hoping for recoveries on the field. 

Inter will come into this weekend’s game desperate for three points. After all, after last season’s record, they need to turn the tide. For Milan, though, it is a case of continuing their fine form, which has been the motto for the season anyway.

Recoveries for both

The Rossoneri, as Calciomercato.com reports, will be bolstered by two returns. Adrien Rabiot will be ready, having returned to training already, and he will rejoin the group on Tuesday afternoon. However, he may not be the only returnee.

Santiago Gimenez, who has been absent since the Atalanta game, may also recover for a place on the bench. Given his situation, if he is able to start turning the tide in the biggest game of the season, perhaps his fortune may change.

For the hosts, Denzel Dumfries, Hakan Calhanoglu and Matteo Darmian should all be in contention for the game. However, Christian Chivu will be without Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is still a week away from being fit.

Petar Sucic has impressed for the Nerazzurri already this season, so the hope will be that he can continue it against a strong Diavolo midfield.
