There has been a lot of talk about AC Milan’s defence in recent weeks, and a first addition could be made to improve the unit.
In the past few seasons, no area has been more frustrating than the right-back spot. Davide Calabria, Emerson Royal, Filippo Terracciano, Kyle Walker, Alex Jimenez. Five names who played on the right of defence recently, and clarity is still being sought.
Jimenez, arguably, is the closest that Milan have gotten. Though there are still doubts about his ability to play to the demands of the position at an elite level. However, that could be helped by the mentorship of Massimiliano Allegri.
An addition will be needed this summer, definitely, but there remains a lot to be decided about the future of the position.
Complete approval
There have been several links so far, with the Rossoneri considering two profiles above others recently. However, Marc Pubill could be the player to arrive this summer, according to recent reports.
Yesterday, Massimiliano Allegri had a few meetings with Igli Tare, and Calciomercato.com reports that the two discussed the interest in Pubill, with the Italian reportedly approving the signing of the Spaniard.

His ‘destiny is in Italy’ and whilst he is currently slightly more attack-focused, he has the potential to improve further. Only €15 million will be required for his transfer, though Barcelona are also keeping tabs on the situation.
