Friday’s game could force Massimiliano Allegri to think about his selections once again, as AC Milan may not have many recoveries.
This weekend, Allegri was forced to be extremely meticulous. His starting team had to be constructed to win the game, whilst leaving someone to help his team recover from the bench. So, this is why Santiago Gimenez started from the bench.
At the very least, the Italian has been hoping for Ruben Loftus-Cheek to return for this weekend’s game, but Christopher Nkunku and Pervis Estupinan would also be welcomed back with open arms. However, it seems unlikely.
Bad news for three
Reports this afternoon suggested that the trio had missed the group training session at Milanello today, with the latter still in therapy with his ankle injury.
Now, Calciomercato.com states that ‘nothing can be done’ for the Ecuadorian defender, so he will ‘certainly’ be out for the Pisa game. However, there is no set plan for his return yet, with him set to be assessed daily.

Only slightly better news is available for the former Chelsea duo. It is possible that they will be ready for Pisa, but it will be a touch-and-go situation, depending on their availability for the next two training sessions.
If they are not ready, then the Atalanta game will be targeted, which takes place on Tuesday, October 28.
