AC Milan might have to reinforce their attack in the January transfer window, still waiting on the first goal from their strikers, and there are some names they could make a move for.
Yesterday’s 2-2 draw against Pisa certainly highlighted Milan’s lack of an in-form striker. Santiago Gimenez started alongside Rafael Leao in attack but, truth be told, we barely saw anything from the Mexican. This was also reflected in the player ratings.
As such, Gimenez is still on zero goals in Serie A this season and the same can be said for Christopher Nkunku, even if he hasn’t played as much. In any case, the Milan management might have to secure a reinforcement for the attack in January.
Names to consider
According to Calciomercato.com earlier today, taking stock of the situation in attack, there are a few ‘ready’ names that Milan perhaps could take a look at in January: Artem Dovbyk (Roma), Dusan Vlahovic (Juventus), Joshua Zirkzee (Man Utd) and Serhou Guirassy (Dortmund).

The latter seems very unlikely, as he has started the season well with Dortmund, but the others are certainly doable. Dovbyk has been struggling to get things going at Roma, while Vlahovic’s contract will expire in the summer, so Juve might want to avoid a free transfer.
As for Zirkzee, he could potentially be available on a loan after playing just 82 minutes with Man Utd this season so far. Matteo Moretto stated on Saturday morning that Milan could indeed reinforce the attack in January, so it’s worth keeping an eye on potential targets.
