CM.it: Icardi ‘dream’ and centre-back list – Allegri wants two signings to boost Scudetto bid

AC Milan are hoping to stay in Scudetto contention and then bolster the squad with a couple of January additions, a report claims.

Milan went into the season with only 19 outfield players after a major streamlining in the summer. The recent injury crisis has certainly tested the depth, but help could be on hand in January especially if the title charge is still going.

Two reinforcements sought

According to Calciomercato.it, the league-leaders Milan are first and foremost focused on their home match against Pisa tonight. They can go four points clear at the top while waiting for other results this round, in which Napoli host Inter.

Allegri has not forbidden the word Scudetto from being mentioned at Milanello, but he did say in his pre-match press conference that it is more something for the fans to dream. He has however asked the club for a couple of reinforcements in January to aim for the title.

In defence, the dream is to sign Kim Min-jae from Bayern Munich – previously of Napoli – but it seems easier to get Joe Gomez from Liverpool. There are also domestic options too: Thomas Kristensen and Oumar Solet at Udinese, and Mario Gila at Lazio.

For the attack, the dream is Mauro Icardi, who is on the fringes at Galatasaray. Dusan Vlahovic is more of a free-agent idea for the summer, while in the Premier League, there are opportunities like Joshua Zirkzee and Gabriel Jesus.

Moreover, there could be a chance to add a second striker too. Milan have secured a potential preferential path for Brazilian sensation Rayan, and then there’s a Beckham-like idea: signing Son Heung-min for a few months on loan from LAFC.
