Ardon Jashari played his first minutes in almost three months today, and he proved that there is time to go until he is a regular for AC Milan.
Barring something extremely unlikely, it was always going to be unlikely that Jashari was a starter for the Derby della Madonnina in a week. After the game against Virtus Entella, it is clear to see why this was the case.
Not ready yet
To say today was his first appearance in almost three months, Jashari was pretty solid in the first 45 minutes, as Calciomercato.com writes. He made some nice passes, got into dangerous areas and had some control of the game.

However, in the second half, it was clear that he was not as comfortable, with the reports stating that his ‘current physical limitations were exposed’. He was not as sharp as he was in the first period, whilst also making the occasional mistake.
So, the Derby may be a bit too soon for him to play, even as a substitute. Given that Adrien Rabiot should be back, there will be some cover in midfield. Instead, then, the Coppa Italia game against Lazio could be the game for him to target as a starter.
